Spiritually -
If possible, try to spend some extra time in prayer before coming to allow God to prepare you to receive all He has for you during the conference. However, if this is not feasible, don't be condemned or pressured about what your schedule does not allow.
If this is your first Prayer and Power Conference, or if you are not familiar with Dave Roberson's ministry, you may find listening to and applying the truths taught in the teaching series 'Distinguishing God's Voice' as another beneficial way to help prepare yourself in advance. This series is available under the Series section of this site.
We also highly recommend reading Dave's book, The Walk of the Spirit, the Walk of Power, if you have not already done so. You can download it for free under the Books section of this site. Or you can order a paperback version by calling the ministry office at 918-298-7729 M-TH, 12:30pm-4:00pm Central Time.
Another resource available on this site that would be particularly beneficial for you to review and meditate on before coming to the conference is the '2010 Compilation of Prophecies.' This is available under the Prophecies section on this site. This compilation includes present-day speakings from the Lord that have come forth from the Body during this year. The Lord is still speaking to His Body-He is continually feeding us fresh manna to meet us where we are at and to help us prepare for what He has in store for our future.
Choose to push past distractions. Distractions are always present just outside the Holy Spirit's anointing, but the focused individual will get what God sent him or her here for.
Expect God to move in your life, and come with an open heart. Often people come to conference with a set of expectations regarding what they think the conference should be like. Instead, come determined to allow God to be God in these services.
Come prepared to both give and receive from the Lord. Be an active participant: during the servicein praise and worship, in drawing from the anointing, and in agreeing in prayer as God ministers; outside of service timesin reaching out in fellowship to others around you.
Look for opportunities to connect with your brothers and sisters from around the world. Fellowship with brethren of like, precious faith is a very significant part of these conferences.
Physically -
Endeavor to come to the conference well rested and aim to arrive a few days early, if possible, to ensure you have time to recover from travel and to adjust if coming from a different time zone.
Practically -
If you do not have a mobile phone, you may want to purchase a phone card upon arrival.
If you will be renting a car, try to co-ordinate flight arrival and departure with rental car pick-up and drop-off times. Keep in mind that the time of day you pick up your rental car and the time you return it often must be the same in order to avoid paying for an additional day of rental fees or a long wait at the airport.
